Welcome to the journey, where I will post much more regularly about new products, announcements of what’s happening at contentedchef (for example if I’ve made new cakes and any greats pics from the catering gig as this starts to roll). I’ll also post about the fabulous restaurants that are a must visit, where heaven arrives on a plate.

Restaurants - can we be forgiven for wanting the unexpected
We love a great restaurant. But more than service and ambiance, the food is the crowning glory for an evening that is either unforgettable or perhaps, just enough.

Thank you Purewow.com. You made my day, and shifted the level of joy one can extract from just nuts, butter and sugar, mixed in the right combination.

Sugar and hazelnuts. A match made in heaven.
Every once in a while we stumble in life, and the world feels a little bleak. Only then can the life-restoring combination of sweet spice and sugar make us whole again. A well made biscuit always fills me with joy. A home made one, even more so.

Heritage is key
Serundeng. A Dutch Indonesian coconut garnish to make your rice dishes sing! I made this some months ago and took a photo of my favourite way to enjoy this, which is to generously sprinkle this on freshly steamed rice and eat it as an anytime snack.
